About

Ashley: a first-year MFA student in the Nonfiction Creative Writing program at Emerson College (Boston, MA). Essentially, I’m trying to feel–and write–my way through the tumultuous twenties and make my dreams come true. Since I’ve moved, I spend an awful lot of time in my apartment reading, writing, listening to Death Cab For Cutie incessantly, and watching movies on Netflix that make me wish I maybe lived in a different decade. I also should probably get out more.

Ideally, I would make a living writing books for the rest of my life. Memoir. Because I’m seemingly narcissistic enough to believe anything that has happened in my life is worth sharing with the general public. But I’m too introspective and too crazy about the happenings in my life to not write them down. And maybe someone can learn something from them. Or at the very least, feel something about them. And that would be okay. I would be fine with that.
